Restaurant Week Dinner Review: Rafele

Restaurant Week Dinner Review: Rafele

One of the best restaurant week menu choices on the nycgo.com website was definitely Rafele. Most of the Restaurant Week (going on from 7/22 until 8/16) menus only offer 3-4 different choices for appetizers and mains each but Rafele offers a whopping 17 appetizer choices (ranging from grilled octopus, pizza, caprese, fried calamari…!) and 14 mains (so many pastas, meat dishes and pizzas to choose from!) I definitely had trouble choosing from the extensive menu. Rafele is a bit of an escape from the city- you feel like you’ve been transported into a rustic Italian kitchen. You definitely get your money’s worth coming here- and the food was flavorful as well. Dessert was not my favorite items here but I was happy with the appetizers and mains! Might be a nearly perfect Restaurant Week Lunch choice.

The appetizers: Pizza, Grilled Octopus, and Gnocco Fritto with aged Parma prosciutto.
